Love People, Cook them tasty food

Yes! Chef! Becomes a Guinea Pig for my Food Photography Class. Or Hamburger with Brussel Sprouts

Hamburger with Caramelized Onions, mushrooms, Provolone Cheese and a side of Brussel Sprouts

Last night’s dinner was a hamburger prepared by Yes! Chef!  Of course, since he prepared it, it was not an ordinary hamburger.  It was perfectly cooked, with a thin layer of Provolone Cheese, caramelized sliced mushrooms and wonderfully caramelized onions.  And since he loves Brussel Sprouts, we had them roasted and lightly oiled and seasoned. I don’t know if my photos do this simple dinner justice, but it was mighty tasty. I love the simplicity of this rustic food.  Add a great glass of French Bordeaux and it was a memorable dinner.

Because I have started this blog to honor my husband’s cooking (and because I love food photography), I decided to take another food photography course from Ron Goldman.  I’ve already taken two food courses from him and I learned so much.  But, I wanted to add a little styling to my food, so his Photography for Food Bloggers class seemed just the ticket.  We started yesterday, so the above photo doesn’t really count because I haven’t read the full lesson yet.Love People, Cook them tasty food

The above sign was given to us by a dear friend from Wisconsin.  We keep it on the refrigerator to remind us why we have friends…to cook them tasty food.  Ha!

Stay tuned for some great improvement in my food photography.  It will have you licking your computer screen (well, maybe not licking your screen, but certainly licking your chops.)
