So, Yes!Chef! has returned home from Boston and he is feeling like cooking up some goodness again. (Everyone at the Schmautzhaus says Huzzah!) And, boy, is recipe a great way to come back. The salmon was crispy on the outside and creamy and fresh on the inside. The sauce was sublime. It had everything I like: lemon, capers and basil. All of it sitting on a bed of fresh spinach. It was the perfect meal after a longish walk with Obie T. Dogg in beautiful Lake Tahoe.

Since Christmas, I have not written a new post. This mostly stemmed from Yes!Chef! spending quite a bit of time out of town for his day job and so he really didn’t do much cooking. This was a tragedy for me, because I had to cook for myself and the blog. Read more
Now, here’s a recipe that can be made quickly and is great for a weeknight autumn evening. Satisfying, spicy, shrimpy and delicious. But, don’t forget to remove the shells from the shrimp.
I love steak. I am not a meat and potatoes girl. I am a steak with yummy sauces girl. Although I will eat potatoes when Yes!Chef! makes them (and he loves potatoes), I can do without them for the most part. But pair up a great steak (and that includes ground up types of steak like hamburger) with a great sauce (not gravy) and some interesting veggies and I am a happy woman.
