It’s a good thing this recipe finishes up the last of the fresh, juicy peaches given to us by a friend of our youngest son because I was running out of clever headlines using peaches. Ha!
We had about 6-7 peaches left and Yes!Chef! said we needed (I use the term, “We”, loosely because Yes!Chef! does not make desserts) to make one more dessert with the remaining peaches. What else to make with a bunch of peaches but ice cream? I love ice cream. But this time I wanted to do something a little different, so I made gelato.

The headline quote sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? I made that up because I couldn’t find any good peach quotes. And who wouldn’t love someone that brings you 12 perfect peaches? A friend of my youngest son’s showed up the other day to play some video games and he brought us the peaches. I think I will adopt him.

I think love and strawberries go together. After all, you can dip strawberries in chocolate, or drop them into champagne, or slice them up and serve with ice cream drizzled with chocolate. All of these are romantic and put you in the mind for love. And between Yes!Chef! and myself, we have been making quite a few strawberry recipes lately.
Berries are a good way to celebrate summer. Ice Cream always says summer. Add summertime Basil and you can make yourself a yummy summertime dessert that encompasses all three flavors plus a surprise crumble on top. I mean, seriously, how can you resist this?

I was stalking some of the food blog community sites and a discussion came up about watermarking photos. I don’t usually mark mine, but I have found so many photos of mine used without my permission or even attribution, that I decided that I would add a small watermark to them so hopefully somebody viewing them would know where they came from. So, after spending a good deal of time thinking about it and trying out different things, I came up with the above.
