Last night’s dinner was a hamburger prepared by Yes! Chef! Of course, since he prepared it, it was not an ordinary hamburger. It was perfectly cooked, with a thin layer of Provolone Cheese, caramelized sliced mushrooms and wonderfully caramelized onions. And since he loves Brussel Sprouts, we had them roasted and lightly oiled and seasoned. I don’t know if my photos do this simple dinner justice, but it was mighty tasty. I love the simplicity of this rustic food. Add a great glass of French Bordeaux and it was a memorable dinner.
Because I have started this blog to honor my husband’s cooking (and because I love food photography), I decided to take another food photography course from Ron Goldman. I’ve already taken two food courses from him and I learned so much. But, I wanted to add a little styling to my food, so his Photography for Food Bloggers class seemed just the ticket. We started yesterday, so the above photo doesn’t really count because I haven’t read the full lesson yet.
The above sign was given to us by a dear friend from Wisconsin. We keep it on the refrigerator to remind us why we have friends…to cook them tasty food. Ha!
