Well, here we are again.  Blogging twice in one week has to be a record.  But while we were at Lake Tahoe and a little cooped up because of the snow, I decided to make a sweet bread.  It wasn’t particularly cold (40’s during the day), and we were able to get out every day and take Obie T. Dogg for a walk around the block, but we couldn’t really walk around the forest or go to some of our other favorite haunts, because there was just too much snow and some of the roads are closed during the winter. Plus, it was a three day weekend in a ski resort, so there were people everywhere!

Corned Beef Hash or What does Hitchcock have to do with Corned Beef?

My husband found a recipe for making Corned Beef in the April 2012 issue of Cuisine at Home.  He thought it would be a great idea to try and make some.  We both love Corned Beef but we had never had homemade Corned Beef.  He thought this would be a great dish to try.

Breakfast with Yes! Chef! or What to do with leftover breadsticks

Last night we had a few people over for dinner and Yes! Chef! made his almost famous spaghetti and meatballs.  I thought it would be fun to have homemade breadsticks, so I found this recipe from Food Network:  Almost Famous Breadsticks.  Yes! Chef! thought it was a grand idea, but he didn’t understand that just because I found the recipe doesn’t mean that I wanted to make the recipe.  His first clue was when he asked me how much time I needed to make the bread and I just looked at him blankly.
